Boss Mechanics: The Singularity Reactor

This is the boss fight for the 8-man trial, Primal King Thordan

Phase 1

Avoid party-wide terror debuff by turning away from Dragon's Gaze after King Thordan channels Dragon's Eye.

Phase 2

You can avoid or dispell the debuffs from the knights that he summons.

Phase 3

Thordan casts Light of Ascalon, a party-wide AoE that also pushes players back. Stack for group heals, shields, and LB when he switches to melee.

Advice for Tanks

Turn the Boss away from the DPS & Healers when he casts Ascalon's Might, which is a frontal cleave attack.

Advice for Healers

Pre-cast group shield buffs or HoTs before Light of Ascalon and room-wide AoE Ultimate End. You can track the boss's casting bar by focus targeting the boss with Shift+F. Also recommended to dispell the debuffs from the knights that he spawns in Chaos Phase.

Strategy Update: The dying Gasp

Emet-Selch (Hades)

*
Phase 1, Avoid circles, side-step Eruption!
*
Phase 2, Stay away from the edge!
*
Phase 3, Kill before he finishes casting Black  Cauldron!

update: The mothercrystal (8-man trial)

Lv. 89 Trial: The Mothercrystal

The outer ring of the trial's ring will instantly kill.

Dawn Mantle is not telegraphed on the floor so you can't predict it unless you pay attention to the colour of crystal.

Red crystal = shoots inward.

Green crystal = shoots outward.

Blue crystal = shoots a cross.

Stack until the Echoes finish hitting, the move away from the stack when the Lightwaves start to spawn and move across the arena.

**If you do this trial in the Trust system, you get 3 stacks of the Willful buff, which prevents an instant kill 3 times in total.**

pro tip: new workaround for failed mechanic

Lv. 89 The Aitiascope

Boss 1, Livia:

Hitboxes are opposite from each other, there are 8 Aglaea shots that fire in a line direction then fire back to the centre with a 10 second pause for their crystals.

It is now possible to survive standing in one of the hitboxes if you have bad timing or bad luck on picking which section of the arena to run to.

Boss 2, Rhitahtyn:

The drained crystal will shatter, dealing damage, and then the boss will cast Knockback.

If you fail this mechanic, you can still survive if you have the following buffs: Protraction, Galvanize, Eukrasian Prognosis/Diagnosis, or any pre-emptive HoT and damage-nullifying barriers.

Boss 3, Amon:

Go behind the giant ice crystal to avoid Curtain Call, dodge the moving discs that he summons.

Alert: unclear strategy for dusk vigil

The Dusk Vigil

Boss #1: Towering Oliphant - stand between the oliphant's target and the boss to share damage.

Boss #2: Ser Yuhelmeric - tank, off-tank, or dps need to separate the boss from his spawns or else they buff him.

Boss #3: Opinicus - Go behind rock rubbles to avoid getting pulled in by the whirling gaol, you can also use the rubbles to avoid his AE attack.

The strategy for this levelling dungeon is completely missing from some out of date guides. The more recent ones who have the strategy are unclear for example, masonry (bricks)...you mean the scattered pieces of brick (these won't help you) , or the brick & rock rubbles that are almost the height of the player? This is why we've seen confused new players who have no idea where to hide from the special attack!

Alert: Confusing walkthrough for porta decumana

The Porta Decumana

This is actually a 4-man light party version of the Ultima Weapon phase in The Praetorium 8-man main scenario dungeon. This trial was released in Endwalker Patch 6.1.

Phase 1, Titan, Avoid the AoE's and healers should power heal through Earthen Fury.

Phase 2, Garuda, move away when it casts Mistral Shriek. We recommend having focus target on (Shift + F) the boss, to see its casting progress.

Phase 3, Ifrit, run back to the middle when you are pushed to the edge.

Phase 4, Ultima, don't overlap the rays, absorb orbs, and go to the middle if you see proximity indicators

Lv. 84  Helping Hands

Teleporting doesn't work!

Walk east until you reach a ledge where you can jump down onto

the connecting narrow rock path into the cave that leads to the

other side of the map.

There is no mushroom at the quest giver.
