The legendary Chak Gerent

This is actually a defensive mechanic of the King of the Jungle** meta-event. The meta-event follows the Ley Line Confluence within Tangled Depths, which requires Heart of Thorns for access.

**Note: In order to start this champion hunt, at least 2 groups of players can be positioned beside the earthly tunnels where the egg nests can be activated on target.

​

The champion has 6 special attacks: Dodge, Impale, Lunge, Pheromone Clouds, Swipes, and Tail Slam.

How to Survive this Legendary Champion Hunt

Position players throughout the area between the nests and the thorny brown branches with at least 1 tank at each side for Dodge and Impale.

 

Long-ranged players should stay further behind the group, and focus damage during Lunge, when close-range and melee players are knocked down. This positioning can be repeated for Swipes, where the Chak Gerent deals frontal melee damage with its left claw and applies movement debuff against affected players for 3-5 seconds. Pheromone clouds are round blue shadow aoe's that are forecasted on the ground and can be avoided as the chak gerent casts them.

 

Tail Slam can be evaded by avoiding the shadows on the ground, otherwise, this is a heavy hitting AoE special attack that will hit multiple times.
